Jobssnap

Effective October 18, 2026

Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Jobssnap website, web dashboard, iOS app and Android app. Jobssnap is used by cleaning companies and other service organizations (“Workspace Organizations”) to schedule work, assign personnel, verify attendance, document services, inspect work and share selected evidence with customers.

The Workspace Organization that provided your account decides why customer, personnel and job information is entered and acts as the primary organization responsible for that information. Jobssnap processes it to provide, secure, support and improve the service.

Information handled

  • Account information, including name, email address, phone number, role, workspace access and authentication records.
  • Business records, including customers, contacts, properties, schedules, jobs, assignments, notes, inspections and audit activity.
  • Precise location submitted during an on-site verification or evidence upload, including coordinates, accuracy, distance from the service property, verification radius and time.
  • Work evidence, including photographs, videos, required verification selfies, filenames, file type and size, capture time, camera metadata and processing status.
  • Technical and security information, including IP address, browser or device details, session records, login attempts, error diagnostics and operational logs.
  • Mobile app diagnostics and identifiers described below.

Camera, media and location permissions

Jobssnap requests camera or media access when an assigned Staff member or Supervisor captures job evidence. Precise location is requested for a deliberate on-site verification and may be checked again when evidence is submitted. Jobssnap does not continuously track a user in the background. Denying these permissions prevents the related evidence workflow but does not authorize continuous tracking.

Mobile diagnostics and notifications

The Android app uses Google Firebase services for analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring and push notifications. These services may process app interactions, device or installation identifiers, diagnostic and performance information, crash data and a push-notification registration token. The iOS app uses Apple system services for camera, location and notification permissions and stores limited app/session state on the device. Jobssnap uses this information to operate the app, deliver requested notifications, understand reliability, diagnose failures and improve performance. It is not used for third-party advertising.

Purposes and access

Information is used for account administration, authentication, scheduling, assignments, location verification, work evidence, inspections, customer visibility, notifications, security, support, analytics, service improvement and disaster recovery. Access is limited by workspace, company assignment and role. Customers see only their own jobs and customer-visible processed media; customer accounts cannot access original media.

Jobssnap does not sell personal information, rent it, use it for cross-context behavioural advertising or permit third-party advertising in the service.

Service providers and processing location

Jobssnap uses service providers only to operate the service. Contabo hosts the production server, encrypted backups and private object storage in the United States. Neon hosts the database in AWS US East 2 (Ohio). Amazon Web Services supports transactional email delivery. Google provides the Android Firebase services described above, and Apple provides iOS platform services. Providers receive only the information needed for their service and are expected to protect it under their applicable contractual and legal obligations. Information processed outside Canada may be subject to that jurisdiction’s lawful-access requirements.

Retention

Active business records remain until an authorized Admin deletes a supported record, the Workspace Organization requests deletion, or retention is required for an operational, security, contractual or legal reason. Deactivation is not deletion. Deleted active data may remain temporarily in encrypted disaster-recovery backups until the rotation of 14 daily, 8 weekly and 12 monthly snapshots expires. Provider diagnostic and notification information follows the applicable provider settings and retention practices.

Account and data deletion requests

Jobssnap does not offer public self-registration. Accounts are provisioned by a Workspace Organization. To request account deletion, deletion of associated data, access to personal information, or correction of personal information, contact the Workspace Admin who provided the account. The Admin can verify the requester and submit or complete the request through the organization’s Jobssnap administration process.

An approved request deletes or anonymizes account details and supported active records that are not required for legitimate business, security, dispute-resolution or legal obligations. Deleting a customer or job through an authorized Admin workflow removes the associated supported records and media from active storage. Some audit or evidence records may be retained where the Workspace Organization must preserve an operational or legal record. Deleted information can remain temporarily in encrypted backups until the backup rotation expires.

Safeguards and choices

Safeguards include tenant isolation, role authorization, secure password hashing, HTTPS, private storage, customer media restrictions, login throttling, audit logs, malware scanning, encrypted backups and monitoring. Users must protect their credentials and should capture only evidence relevant to the assigned work.

Users can revoke camera, location and notification permissions in Android or iOS device settings. They can sign out of active sessions through account settings. Requests to access, correct or delete personal information should go to the Workspace Admin. Suspected privacy or security incidents should be reported to the Workspace Admin immediately.

Children

Jobssnap is a business operations service and is not directed to children under 13. Workspace Organizations must not knowingly provision accounts to children under 13 or submit their personal information.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Privacy questions and requests should be directed to the Workspace Admin who provided the account. The Workspace Admin is the appropriate contact because that organization controls the customer, personnel and job records entered in its workspace.
